Díscolo was founded in 2008 in Spain's D.O. Toro region, built around six parcels of old-vine Tinta de Toro — some vines pushing past ninety years old — spread across 20.5 hectares.
The estate has farmed to certified organic standards since 2015, holding itself to stricter vineyard practices than the appellation requires. The name says it all: díscolo means unruly, and the wines are made to have personality rather than follow a formula.
